In the essays of both Jennifer L. and Keith E. there were very strong points. But, I agree with Keith's decision to give Jefferson an A-. Though they had similar points Keith mentioned similar talked more about the aftermath of the decisions made by Jefferson. For example, they both had the Louisiana Purchase and how it was a great deal made by Jefferson. What set Keith apart was that he mentioned that it "sealed the fate" of Native Americans by setting up the plans for the Union to inhabit that land. Another aspect of Keith's essay that won me over was the actual grade he awarded Jefferson with. An A- seemed much more fare than Jennifer's B considering that he left the country better of than it was and he was only the second president. Jennifer awarded Jefferson with a B and explained that this was because of the Embargo Act. Though this was a big deal I do not think it sways the scale enough to pull it down to a B. Both writes did a great job I just feel Jennifer was a little too harsh.
